Child Development
Initiative

The Initiative
By cultivating an ongoing relationship with a Developmental Therapist, parents can feel confident about their child's unique developmental journey as it unfolds over time. Noggin also assists families in navigating shifting circumstances such as: change of a healthcare provider, family structure changes, loss of job, moving, or death in the family. Noggin provides a safe and encouraging space for families to be meaning-makers in the face of adversity, and to explore the various strengths and developmental challenges those transformations bring.
Why Noggin?
Integral &
adaptive
Noggin provides Developmental Therapy services and acts as a versatile support system for families with young children. Developmental Therapy services are provided directly through the Illinois Early Intervention system for children 0-3, and private services are available for older children and those otherwise disqualified from state participation. The organization also facilitates many initial referrals to the Early Intervention System, engaging with various Child-Find activities such as school screenings and various outreach groups and programs within the community.
From first breaths to first steps, from first steps to first apartments, from first consultations to comprehensive treatment- in and through each and every pivotal moment, we provide enduring support for children and families.
Noggin places relationships at the center of this work, engendering a therapeutic space for meaningful growth and offering accessible education to families, educators, and caregivers.
We are committed to empowering families and cultivating those relationships which prioritize nurturance and whole-child well-being, honoring and elevating an active participation in the human experience.
